Friday, May 22, 2020, will certainly be one we won’t soon forget. After being closed for dining room and patio service for over two months, we were eager to welcome you back to a space that owner Samad Hachby has described as, “the garden of love, friendship, and gastronomy”.
We have been waiting for this day for a long time and we are excited to welcome you to enjoy dinner and drinks on our patio or in our dining room starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020.
That’s right, it is North Carolina Beef Month and though we wish we were celebrating with you in the restaurant, we want to encourage you to try out some of these “traditional Italian recipes” at home until you can dine with us again.
We are participating in Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Restaurant Partnership Program to prepare family-sized meals for families and children served by the Food Shuttle’s COVID-19 emergency response efforts.
We will be offering free meals for healthcare employees and hospitality workers from Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29, 2020, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Thanks to Julia Sayers of Birmingham Magazine for including us in her dining round up. Julia Sayers knows where to eat in Raleigh and we’re thrilled to have made her list!
While our dining room is closed, we will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily for pickup and deliveries.
Join us as we host WALTER Magazine for a celebration of the debut of Frances Mayes’ latest works, Always Italy and See you in the Piazza, at Melrose Knitting Mill on April 16, 2020, at 6 p.m. Guests will get the ultimate insider’s tour of Italy and enjoy a family-style dinner inspired by some of Mayes’ favorite dishes.
