Lasagna lovers, this one is for you! National Lasagna Day is right around the corner on Monday, July 29, 2024. At Mulino, however, we like to celebrate the deliciousness of lasagna six nights a week! It’s a dish that not only looks beautiful but tastes absolutely divine. Let’s explore the layers of love that go into our highly-rated lasagna.
The Art of Mulino Lasagna
Our lasagna is one of the most popular dishes we serve. The dish is made with fresh pasta and organic eggs. Each delicious layer is composed of beef, pork ragu, bechamel, and 36-month-old Parmigiano Reggiano. The combination of all of these flavors is truly out of this world!
A Slice of History

Believe it or not, lasagna’s origins can be traced back to ancient Greece. The name lasagna, or “lasagne,” is derived from the Greek word “laganon,” the first known form of pasta. Laganon was not a traditional lasagna as we know it with traditional Italian ingredients, but it was composed of layers of pasta and sauce. So it basically got its name from the method in which it was made, not from its ingredients. The modern version of lasagna was invented sometime between 1544 and 1692–most likely in either Emilia Romagna or Naples. Despite all of the confusion about where lasagna originated from, most can agree that it tastes delicious, especially when you order it at Mulino!
