We recently stumbled across an article about the proper way to eat a slice of pizza from bon appétit, and it got us wondering, how do you eat our pizzas? Check out some of the ways they suggested below and tag us on Instagram with your pizza eating styles.
Fork and Knife – bon appétit believes this is unacceptable but we have definitely used a fork and knife for a slice before. What about you?
The Wide Open Plain – Also known as the non-fold. This is when you eat the pizza without bending it at all. You just go for it!
The Flop – Sometimes if you do not fold a slice, it will droop. In this scenario, you need to hold the slice higher than your face and let it fall right into your mouth like a pizza waterfall.
The Full Fold – The writer for this article also is not a fan of The Full Fold but this is where you fold your pizza completely in half. Do any of our diners prefer this method?
The Crimp – The Crimp is formed by creating a slight bend in the crust by using your thumb and middle finger (below the crust) and your pointer finger (above the crust.) This gives a partial bend to the curst, creating a structural triangle.
The Pizza Spliff – To do The Pizza Spliff, you roll the pizza from the crust to point, creating a pizza-taquito type thing.
The Pizza Wallet (AKA the Neapolitan Fold) – The Wallet Fold is done by folding the tip of the pizza back into the center and pressing together the sides to create a sealed pouch.
No matter which way you choose to enjoy this cheesy, triangle meal, we hope you will come enjoy it at Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar!
