We had such an amazing time at the Turkey Ball on Thursday, November 18, 2021! With your help, we raised $6,000 and donated 200 turkeys to families in need via Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is committed to feeding children, families, and seniors by recovering and distributing over eight million pounds of food each year. We were thrilled to partner with them to help feed families this Thanksgiving.
Great food and drinks were had by all at the ball! Huge thank you to our wine and beer sponsors who helped make this event happen. Guests were able to taste wine from Sunrise Wines and beer from Appalachian Mountain Brewery.
About Sunrise Wines
Manuel Magnani, a young Italian man from Rome, with a passion for travel and geography, embarked on a journey of self-discovery in the United States in 1993. At his first job at the Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida, he developed a newfound love of wine which changed his life forever. After a few years of focus in the Wine Industry, his knowledge and confidence thrived, and he started his own Import Company in 2004, called Sunrise Wines. The wines come from small, boutique wineries run by people that Manuel knows personally and share the same passion for life and wine. Sunrise Wines is headquartered in Raleigh, NC, serving the state with its delicious, heartfelt wines.
About Appalachian Mountain Brewery
Appalachian Mountain Brewery (AMB) was founded in 2013 and was the first brewery in Boone, NC. Also born and raised in the North Carolina mountains are founders Nathan and Chris who built the foundation of high-quality beer rooted in the principles of community, philanthropy, and sustainability. Almost a decade later, those principles remain true to their day-to-day business as AMB partners with local groups to give back to the community and protect the environment, and purchase local ingredients to use at the brewery and within the brewing process.
