“Best outdoor patio in Raleigh! My husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner and they seated us in the corner of the patio with the most perfect view. Whoever created the patio aesthetic wins all the points. Between the beautiful and well kept plants, calming water in the pool, and the stringed lights it was great to just sit out there.

We started off with a couple cocktails which were great. Then we ordered the Arancini as a starter. I wanted the beef carpaccio but it was on their online menu and not the menu when we got there. Slight bummer but the Arancini turned out to be delicious so no biggie. We both wanted pasta as an entree so I got the ravioli and my husband ordered the gnocchi. The ravioli was sooo good. The sauce was amazing. There wasn’t anything we ate that wasn’t delicious. For dessert we had coffee and tiramisu. Yummm! Just a great well rounded Italian meal.

We can’t wait to come back! The staff and servers were so nice and accommodating. Also the prices are very reasonable. I’m just sad we didn’t try Mulino sooner!”

“Mulino is a great Italian spot in downtown Raleigh, possibly my favorite outdoor atmosphere in the city. The menu has plenty of options if you are looking for a couple small plates or entrees that will fill you up for the next week.

Very impressed with the quality of service and attention to detail. Kind staff that were personable and attentive.

My mother used to feed me Arancini as a boy and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Mulino’s version of the dish. Very light, delectable.

I could say the same for both the truffle gnocchi and the house bolognese- great dishes overall, on the lighter side with a lot of flavor.

The venue overall was an interesting backdrop to our dinner, this large brick building with vine growing up the side is beautiful. My one worry coming in to this restaurant is that it is right off of the highway. It seemed to me like there was no way to keep that amount of traffic from interrupting dinner (outside). I was completely wrong, the setting and ambience is very warm and relaxing.
